About the Company

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Diesel Generator Technician based in Richmond, VA . You'll perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of Aggreko's electrical power distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, load banks, cables, and related systems. This role supports both field and service center operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and customer expectations. Power without pause. Responsibilities

  • ● You'll be based out of our Richmond, VA. service center.
  • ● You'll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.
  • ● Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
  • ● Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
  • ● You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
  • ● High School diploma/GED
  • ● + years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • ● Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
  • ● Valid driver's license

  • ● Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
  • ● Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
  • ● Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
