Bring your energy to Aggreko as Project Electric al Technician, who will responsible for the advanced commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas generator sets, with a strong emphasis on Jenbacher engines. This role requires a deep technical understanding, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring optimal performance and reliability of Aggreko's power generation equipment, contributing directly to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • ● Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on gas generator sets, specializing in Jenbacher engines.
  • ● Conduct preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of electrical and control systems Low voltage and high voltage.
  • ● Lead the commissioning and decommissioning of gas power generation equipment at customer sites.
  • ● Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Aggreko's safety policies and industry standards.
  • ● Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic software to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • ● Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
  • ● Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reports on all maintenance activities.
  • ● Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams to deliver seamless service solutions.
  • ● Manage spare parts inventory and requisitions effectively.
  • ● Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with new technologies and equipment. You are:
  • ● Electrical Expertise: Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) as an Electrical Technician, specifically with power generation equipment.
  • ● Engine Specialization:
  • ● Preferred: Proven primary experience with Jenbacher gas engines.
  • ● Alternative: Extensive experience with other large-scale gas generator engines (e.g., Waukesha, Caterpillar, MTU, Rolls-Royce, etc.).
  • ● Certifications:
  • ● Mandatory: FTB (Field Technician Basic) Certification.
  • ● Mandatory: CE1 (Commissioning Engineer 1) Certification.
  • ● Technical Skills: Strong understanding of gas engine electrical systems, transformers, other HV equipment.
  • ● Diagnostic Tools: Proficient in using specialized diagnostic tools and software for engine analysis and troubleshooting.
  • ● Safety Acumen: Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and practices.
