About the Company
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Mechanical Workshop Engineer based in our Service & Repair team in our Lomondgate depot . As a Mechanical Workshop Engineer , you will be responsible for carrying out hands-on servicing, maintenance, repairs, and fault finding, while also getting involved in basic installation and commissioning. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers' worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.
Responsibilities
- ● Carry out fault finding, repairs, and load testing on diesel generators (20-2000kVA), including major engine overhauls
- ● Assess equipment condition on return from hire, completing upgrades, modifications, and improvements to maintain fleet quality
- ● Work across AC/DC electrical systems, supporting diagnostics, ECM programming, and control module configuration
- ● Time served apprentice or educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject
- ● Good organisational & communication skills
- ● Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications
- ● Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
