About the Company

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Electrical Project Engineer based in regional Queensland . We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our project delivery team delivering hybrid power on a major mine development project in regional Queensland. This is a site-based role working a 2/1 roster, with travel arranged from Brisbane. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: Planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical works packages, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate electrical scope of works, including HV/LV reticulation, substations, switchrooms, and associated infrastructure.
  • Review and interpret electrical design documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate subcontractors and electrical trades to ensure works are delivered safely, on program, and to specification
  • Prepare and manage electrical work packages, including scopes of work, procurement, and construction schedules
  • Liaise with client representatives, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on progress, cost, and quality against project targets.
  • Identify and manage project risks, variations, and changes in scope.
  • Support commissioning and testing activities, including liaison with commissioning engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, AS/NZS wiring rules, and site-specific HSE .requirements
  • Contribute to the development of construction methodologies and ITPs for electrical works
  • Participate in site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and incident investigations as required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an electrical project engineering role within construction, mining, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (Degree or Advanced Diploma)
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards and electrical safety requirements (AS/NZS 3000, HV switching, isolation procedures)
  • Proficient in MS Office, document control systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Valid driver's licence; willingness to travel and work FIFO/DIDO on roster, initially a 2/1 roster although could be subject to change.
  • Current Construction Induction (White Card); mine-specific site inductions can be completed prior to start.
