About the Job

Join the Yorkwest Woodbridge location as a DZ Boom Truck Driver, responsible for safely delivering materials to customer sites, branches, and warehouses. We're looking for a reliable, customer-focused professional with a valid DZ license, boom truck crane operator certification, strong driving experience, and the ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials while maintaining excellent service standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • ● Transport material to and from customer sites between branches and other locations.
  • ● Obtain necessary shipping documentation related to the assigned route.
  • ● Load items and orders into the truck while adhering to a sometimes tight delivery schedule.
  • ● Consolidate items and skids to maximize space in the truck using a pump truck to load material.
  • ● Strap and/or secure material so that there is no damage or breakage to the material during transport.
  • ● Deliver orders to customers' facilities, construction sites, other branches or warehouses using the most effective itinerary or assigned itinerary.
  • ● Unload products according to the destination's applicable rules.
  • ● Obtain a signature of acknowledgment of delivery.

Requirements

Education

  • ● Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative.

Certifications

  • ● Valid Class DZ license required.
  • ● Valid Boom Truck Crane Operator Certification required.
  • ● Valid Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck Certification is an asset.
  • ● WHMIS and TDG certification would be an asset.
  • ● Forklift certified or ability to be certified.

Experience

  • ● Minimum of 3 years of truck driving experience.
  • ● Minimum 2 years crane experience an asset.
  • ● Clean driver's abstract is required (no traffic tickets, no points, and no "at-fault" accidents within the last 3 years).

Skills

  • ● Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • ● Able to regularly lift up to fifty (50lbs) pounds.
