The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of the mechanical equipment throughout the site using personal decision-making to insure minimal disruption to the production process. This department is scheduled to provide services to the entire facility 7 days a week. A Mechanic may be required to work in one or more plant areas, doing one or multiple assignments during any given work-shift. Call-ins are a requirement of this position. This position requires a high level of self-management, punctuality, good attendance, and the ability to adjust to a variety of assignments. Requirements

  • ● High School diploma or equivalent with minimum 2 years of experience as mechanic on industry and/or technical education on industrial maintenance or mechanic.
  • ● Minimum 2 years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • ● Must be able to read and write and possess competency in basic mathematics.
  • ● Knowledgeable in types and uses of valves.
  • ● The ability to change/repair and align pumps.
  • ● Familiar with reading and working from blueprints and/or single line drawings.
  • ● Ability to align, troubleshoot, disassemble and rebuild production equipment such as reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and centrifugal pumps (preferred).
  • ● Basic welding skills (preferred).
  • ● Ability to use computerized maintenance software.
  • ● Must be able to understand and comply with GMP regulations.
  • ● Good understanding of Electrical, Instrumentation and Hand Tools.
  • ● Knowledge of how to work with Hart Communicator, a multi meter, basic computer skills. Knowledge on how to calibrate instruments (flow, pressure, level). Knowledge on how to read and troubleshoot electrical diagram.
