THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE Global Export & Agency Finance is looking for an Analyst based out of our Madrid Office (Boadilla del Monte). The Global Export & Agency team is Santander s front-office origination and execution platform for Export Credit Agency (ECA)- backed and Multilateral Agencies (MLA)- backed transactions globally. As an Analyst you will be part of the Global Export and Agency Finance team, supporting our Latin American franchise. The main objective of the role will be to support origination efforts and help convert ideas into concrete transactions across a broad range of sectors and financing structures. We are looking for candidates with an outstanding academic background, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail and the confidence to work with clients, agencies, local teams and internal stakeholders across different geographies. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, proactive and commercially minded profile, with strong follow-up skills, an outgoing personality

Requirements

  • ● Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Law, International Relations or Engineering.
  • ● Fluent English and Spanish.
  • ● Other languages are a plus, especially Portuguese or French. Skills and knowledge
  • ● Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • ● Self-starter, extremely organized and detail-oriented with strong commitment to accuracy.
  • ● Strong analytical capabilities and ability to translate data, financials and pipeline information into clear management messages.
  • ● Strong commercial mindset, curiosity and ability to proactively identify, originate and develop business opportunities across different sectors and geographies.
  • ● Outgoing profile with strong people skills and confidence to interact with clients, local teams, agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • ● Proactivity and creativity. Ability to take initiative, propose solutions and work independently when required.
  • ● Capable of managing several workstreams at the same time, often involving different countries, teams and time zones.
  • ● Possess drive with a 'can do' attitude.
  • ● Team player / ability to work effectively in a diverse and international team environment.
  • ● Consistently achieve results, even under difficult circumstances and with tight deadlines.
  • ● Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • ● Strong Excel and financial analysis skills; financial modelling skills are an advantage.
