About the Role
We are currently on the lookout for a Full-Time Loan Assessor to join the Personal Finance team. As part of this role you will provide a personalised experience to understand our members current and desired situations, assess loan applications and adhere to strict compliance obligations. Each loan is assessed inline with the RAC Finance Credit Policy, ensuring responsible lending decisions, efficient timeframes and delegated approval authority levels.
Responsibilities
- ● Conducting member discussions to understand financial information provided on loan applications to support pre-approval or decline decisions
- ● Proactively keeping members informed of loan progress, outcomes and completing follow up calls to progress loan applications to settlement
- ● Analysing all data and completing necessary credit assessment checks, to ensure an acceptable level of risk, complying with all legislative requirements including the National Credit Code
- ● Achieving credit assessment targets in accordance with credit policy and procedure
- ● Analysing and verifying supporting loan documentation
- ● Preparing loan documentation
Requirements
- ● Previous loan assessment experience is required
- ● Banking or finance industry experience is preferred
- ● Experience in a customer service role
- ● Strong communication skills
- ● Sound understanding of the national credit code, responsible lending obligations and Privacy Act
