Senior Biomedical Scientist - Histology Leeds Hospital Pathology Permanent Full Time 37.5 hours per week To look after the nation's heath, we must provide the highest standards of care. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist at our Leeds Hospital, you'll bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You're also a natural communicator and team player, and you share our idea of quality. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will: Deliver high-quality Histopathology service. Perform preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments before use. Perform manual and automated laboratory investigations safely, efficiently, and meeting agreed timelines. Maintain reagent management procedures effectively. Perform tissue and specimen dissection activities within scope of practice. Monitor and assess the accuracy of laboratory investigations using appropriate quality control procedures in place. Oversee the calibration and maintanance of laboratory instruments. and performance issues to Laboratory Management. Escalate potential service delivery risks and failures to the ,
Requirements
- ● IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Cellular Pathology or equivalent.
- ● Previous recent experience working in a UKAS accredited Histopathology laboratory.
- ● Proven experience in specimen dissection and biopsy preparation.
- ● Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
