Responsibilities

  • ● Responsible for both proactive and reactive monitoring of alerts such as Routers, Network switches, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points, LoadBalancers & Proxies.
  • ● Analyze alerts and take appropriate actions such as troubleshooting, escalation, or remediation.
  • ● Monitor the performance and health of our Maersk network estate.
  • ● Work with the engineering team to ensure optimal application performance and user experience.
  • ● Operates data communication systems, including WAN, LAN, WLAN and Perimeter.
  • ● Ability in diagnosing WAN/LAN/Perimeter issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine and implement the appropriate next steps.
  • ● Operates data communication systems, including WAN, LAN, WLAN and Perimeter.
  • ● Capability to assess business impact prior to implementing any change procedure.
  • ● Respond to network incidents efficiently, following established procedures for diagnosis, resolution, and documentation.
  • ● Work with the engineering team to develop and implement infrastructure automation tools.
  • ● Perform daily system checks to ensure critical systems and services are operational

  • ● Deep understanding of the OSI model.

  • ● Key skills for L2 protocols are Spanning Tree modes PVST+, RSTP, LACP, 802.1q, VTP, VLAN, ARP and understanding of DTP, LLDP, CDP, PAgP
  • ● Key skills for L3 network protocols are HSRP, NAT, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, DMVPN
  • ● Additional protocols to support services/management for both network and end users such as IPSec, DHCP, DNS and authentication such as Radius/TACACS.
  • ● General networking and security troubleshooting (Firewalls, LoadBalancers, Proxies , Routing & Switching)
