Responsibilities

  • ● Lead and oversee end-to-end transport operations, ensuring operational KPIs are met while optimizing costs through effective planning and continuous improvement initiative
  • ● Manage the day-to-day transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • ● Develop transport plans and optimize delivery routes to maximize vehicle utilization and operational efficiency.
  • ● Monitor daily dispatch, delivery schedules, and transport performance.
  • ● Resolve operational issues and implement contingency plans to minimize service disruptions.
  • ● Ensure transportation services meet customer expectations and business requirements. Fleet & Vendor Management
  • ● Oversee the performance and maintenance of company-owned and outsourced transport fleets.
  • ● Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, roadworthy, licensed, and compliant with legal requirements.
  • ● Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transport contractors to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
  • ● Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to improve overall fleet performance. Cost Control & Performance Management
  • ● Develop and manage the transportation budget.
  • ● Identify and implement initiatives to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service standards.
  • ● Monitor and report key operational and financial KPIs.
  • ● Analyze transport data and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Leadership & Team Development
  • ● Lead, coach, and develop transport supervisors, planners, dispatchers, and drivers.
  • ● Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • ● Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
