Responsibilities
- ● Operate and monitor ammonia refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and associated equipment.
- ● Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities as per the maintenance schedule.
- ● Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation faults in refrigeration equipment.
- ● Monitor system parameters such as pressure, temperature, oil levels, refrigerant levels, and compressor performance.
- ● Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, abnormal vibrations, and equipment defects.
- ● Ensure compliance with ammonia handling procedures and safety regulations.
- ● Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and operating parameters.
- ● Supervise contractors during shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
- ● Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintain inventory records.
- ● Participate in emergency response activities related to ammonia leakage or equipment failure.
- ● Implement energy-saving and reliability improvement initiatives.
- ● Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company safety standards. Experience
- ● -8 years of experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
- ● Operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems.
- ● Screw and reciprocating compressors.
- ● Refrigeration control systems and PLC-based automation.
- ● Pumps, valves, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, and heat exchangers.
- ● Preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- ● Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- ● Reading P&IDs and engineering drawings.
