About the Role

As a Commis Chef in our Pastry kitchen, you'll be at the heart of the action, preparing all kinds of patisserie and desserts, organising ingredients, and keeping the kitchen clean. Reporting into the Chef de Partie, you'll be a key member of the team, whose role is integral to the smooth operation and delivery of the Kitchen operations. This role is a 6-month FTC placement, working one 9-hour shift per week.

Responsibilities

  • ● Prepare all kinds of patisserie and desserts.
  • ● Organise ingredients.
  • ● Keep the kitchen clean.
  • ● Be responsible for the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food stored.
  • ● Ensure that all administration for own section is completed and complies with the deadlines set.
  • ● Guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets.

Requirements

  • ● Have great knowledge and passion for food and drink.
  • ● Possess great time-management skills.
  • ● Demonstrate a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.
  • ● Have exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • ● Show good attention to detail, evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels.
  • ● Ability to demonstrate the majority of skills and strong experience to thrive in this role.
