About the Company

HammondCare are looking for Permanent Part-Time & Casual Carers in the Dubbo, HammondCare's Respite cottages provide guests with individualised support from our professional staff and are ideal for stays of up to 10 nights.

About the Role

HammondCare Care workers support and look after our Guests during their longer stays or short overnight visits, providing a relaxing environment for older people to take a break from their homes. This Care Worker role will deliver care within our Overnight Respite Cottage in Dubbo

Responsibilities

  • ● Deliver care within our Overnight Respite Cottage in Dubbo
  • ● Support and look after our Guests during their longer stays or short overnight visits, providing a relaxing environment for older people to take a break from their home environment
  • ● Provide care for our Guests in our cottages, this includes personal care, medication supervision, specialised care according to each client's care plan as well as social support

Requirements

  • ● Experience in aged care and/or disability is essential
  • ● Certificate III Individual Support is highly desirable
  • ● First Aid certificate is highly desirable
  • ● Empathy and compassion are a must
  • ● Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
  • ● A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality

Nice to Have

  • ● Certificate III Individual Support
  • ● First Aid certificate
