About the Role

We are looking for a talented and driven Chef de Partie to join our in-house Catering team and support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our employees and clients. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Perth. Ordinary working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, however some flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required on occasion. The Chef de Partie will work collaboratively with the broader Catering team across day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring that our dining and catering services are executed to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role that will involve cooking, food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • ● Assist in the preparation of food for:
  • ● Client functions and events
  • ● Staff events, including morning and afternoon teas
  • ● Working lunches
  • ● Our on-site café
  • ● Assist in the preparation of menus for all meals and catered events
  • ● Mentor and train kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient food production
  • ● Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company standards, while maintaining consistency and quality
  • ● Oversee kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with WA health and safety regulations
  • ● Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, inventory, and stock levels
  • ● Manage food waste and maintain cost-effective operations
  • ● Assist with online ordering, invoicing and pricing
  • ● Step in for the Sous Chef when required, ensuring seamless kitchen operations

Requirements

  • ● To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • ● Relevant hospitality/culinary qualification
  • ● years full time employment experience in a fine dining, corporate or catering environment
  • ● Passion for producing high quality, well-presented food
  • ● Strong knowledge of day-to-day kitchen operations (including invoicing) and unwavering adherence to food safety, hygiene and allergen protocols
  • ● Strong work ethic and an ability to remain calm under pressure
  • ● Excellent team work skills
  • ● Strong attention to detail
  • ● Excellent writing and oral communication skills
