About the Role

We're looking for a Credit Officer to join our Credit team at the Bunnings Support Centre in Ellerslie. This is a customer-focused role where you'll be the first point of contact for our PowerPass Trade customers, helping them manage their accounts and providing support with payments, invoices and credit-related enquiries. You'll spend much of your day connecting with customers over the phone, building relationships, resolving issues and working with customers to find practical payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • ● Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls
  • ● Contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and discussing payment arrangements
  • ● Providing support and guidance on account balances, invoices and payment enquiries
  • ● Building strong relationships with PowerPass Trade customers through professional and empathetic communication
  • ● Investigating and resolving customer account queries and credit claims
  • ● Working closely with internal teams to deliver positive customer outcomes
  • ● Maintaining accurate customer and account information across multiple systems

Requirements

  • ● Previous experience in a customer service, contact centre, collections, accounts receivable or credit role is advantageous
  • ● Confidence handling inbound and outbound phone calls
  • ● The ability to have professional conversations around payments, overdue accounts and debt recovery
  • ● Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • ● A calm, empathetic and solution-focused approach when dealing with customers
  • ● Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • ● Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • ● Understanding of the Commercial PowerPass offer is preferred
