About the Role
join the team on a full-time basis working Monday to Friday at our Westhaven Retirement Village & Residential Aged Care home in Toowoomba. Reporting to the Regional Asset Manager, this role will ensure the condition and appearance of our homes are of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. This includes:
Responsibilities
- ● Hands-on repairs and maintenance
- ● Management and co-ordination of maintenance of the building and its environment
- ● High level of customer service to residents
- ● Maintenance of records and reports
- ● Budget management
- ● Provide leadership, supervision and co-ordinate site maintenance staff
- ● Comply with current legislative standards around maintenance, aged care workplace health & safety and manual handling
Requirements
- ● Knowledge of maintenance procedure and commercial and domestic construction practice
- ● Knowledge of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standards
- ● Understanding and empathy towards aged persons and their living requirements
- ● Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- ● Valid working rights and open manual driver's licence (Class C)
- ● Current national Police Check and NDIS Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- ● A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
- ● Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
