We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Research & Evaluation to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Bolton Clarke Research Institute's research, evaluation and implementation portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Research, you will play a key role in translating research into practice, driving portfolio performance and strengthening evidence-informed decision making across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of the Research Institute's portfolio
  • Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, deliverables and outcomes
  • Oversee research, evaluation and implementation projects to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Drive portfolio governance, risk management, reporting and performance monitoring
  • Support the integration of research into practice, policy and service improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic and industry partners
  • Prepare high-quality reports, board papers, briefs and strategic communications
  • Provide mentoring, guidance and capability development across research and project teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and organisational impact initiatives

Requirements

  • You are a strategic and collaborative leader with experience delivering complex research, evaluation, implementation or health improvement programs. You can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels while building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • You will bring:
  • Significant experience leading research, evaluation, implementation or health service improvement programs
  • Strong project and portfolio management capability
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including executive reporting and briefing papers
  • Tertiary qualifications in a health, research or management-related discipline
