About the Role

Th is role plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.

Responsibilities

  • ● ts' preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:
  • ● Meal choices and individual nutrition
  • ● Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
  • ● Enhancing the overall dining experience
  • ● Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences
  • ● Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
  • ● Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
  • ● Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
  • ● Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
  • ● Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
  • ● Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
  • ● Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
  • ● Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required
  • ● To be successful, you will have:
  • ● Demonstrated customer service skills
  • ● A compassionate and caring attitude
  • ● Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
  • ● Willingness to take direction from others
  • ● Reliability and shift flexibility
  • ● Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
