About the Role
This role plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.
Responsibilities
- ● Meal choices and individual nutrition
- ● Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
- ● Enhancing the overall dining experience
- ● Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences
- ● Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
- ● Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
- ● Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
- ● Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
- ● Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
- ● Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
- ● Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
- ● Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required
Requirements
- ● Demonstrated customer service skills
- ● A compassionate and caring attitude
- ● Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
- ● Willingness to take direction from others
- ● Reliability and shift flexibility
