About the Role
This role plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice, including assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.
Responsibilities
- ● Provide care and support aligned with residents' preferred daily routines with a strong focus on meal choices and individual nutrition.
- ● Consider allergies and food intolerances.
- ● Enhance the overall dining experience.
- ● Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences.
- ● Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences.
- ● Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
- ● Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience.
- ● Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect.
- ● Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices.
- ● Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
- ● Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework.
- ● Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required.
Requirements
- ● Demonstrated customer service skills.
- ● A compassionate and caring attitude.
- ● Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience.
