Responsibilities
- ● th, you'll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.
- ● Deliver high-voltage substation primary designs up to 330kV, including layouts, general arrangements, and key electrical diagrams
- ● Specify and select primary plant equipment, including transformers, switchgear, instrument transformers, surge arresters, and busbar systems
- ● Perform engineering studies and calculations across areas such as earthing, insulation coordination, lightning protection, and conductor design
- ● Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, reliable, and constructable solutions for utility, mining, and infrastructure clients
- ● Lead technical reviews, support design approvals, and provide engineering input through construction, testing, and commissioning phases
- ● Apply Western Power, Australian Standards, and relevant industry requirements to deliver compliant and high-quality outcomes What you'll bring
- ● A degree in Electrical Engineering and experience delivering HV substation primary design projects within Australia
- ● Proven capability in substation design, equipment specification, and engineering calculations for transmission and distribution networks
- ● Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to prepare design reports, specifications, and client-facing documentation
- ● A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
