Responsibilities

  • You will play an important part in strengthening AstraZeneca's position as a leader in new therapeutic areas related to cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, as well as lipidology.
  • You will support successful launches, build strong partnerships across the healthcare system, and contribute to the development of high-performing teams.
  • You will help ensure that our innovative therapies reach the right patients and deliver meaningful benefits in line with the approved label.
  • You will define the medical strategy and develop the Medical Activity Plan for the dedicated Cardiovascular-Renal-Metabolic portfolio.
  • You will plan and execute medical activities in line with business needs and agreed medical plans, while providing medical expertise to cross-functional teams across all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • You will develop scientific narratives and medical materials for field use, including materials adapted from global resources.
  • You will deliver regular medical training to field-force teams.
  • You will engage in high-quality scientific exchange with key external experts and present product data and therapeutic insights in a non-promotional scientific context.
  • You will provide accurate, high-quality medical information to external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • You have a Master's degree in life sciences or a related discipline.
  • You have experience in product launches or strategy development and execution.
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • You have the ability to communicate and discuss scientific content with a range of audiences.
  • You have an excellent command of English.
  • You have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare systems.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs.
  • You have a valid driver's license.
  • You have a background in biology, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field.
  • You have an advanced scientific degree in life sciences or a related discipline.
  • You have experience as a Medical Advisor, MSL, or in a similar Medical Affairs role.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in Medical Affairs.
  • You have strong leadership or management capabilities.
