Work closely with a team of Procurement & Purchasing specialists who take responsibility for supplier relationship management. Handle complex issues and provides guidance to more junior staff on sourcing related issues. Ensure all sourcing arrangements are successful and aligned to company and area strategy and manages supplier relationships at a strategic level. Otherwise, may be responsible for strategic planning, relationship management and reviews of existing supplier arrangements for an entire spend category for a region or all of AstraZeneca. Typical Accountabilities Lead procurement activities, defining business needs and driving proposals within established frameworks. Manage demand and supply planning, ensuring service, performance, and financial targets are achieved. Oversee supplier relationships, contracts, and spend to ensure best value, compliance, and delivery of high-quality services. Requirements

  • ● Degree level or equivalent qualifications;
  • ● Significant experience in similar environment;
  • ● Project management, change management, process excellence and people management skills;
  • ● Good working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry;
  • ● Technical expertise in at least one Procurement area, and competence in several others;
  • ● Communication skills and ability to influence others; high level of stakeholder engagement, comfort with risk and ambiguous situations, digital literacy, sourcing and negotiation skills.
