Responsibilities
- ● tegies in close collaboration with the Head of Market Access, translating robust analytics and modelling into a compelling value story for payers and government. Working across therapy areas and indications, you will navigate complexity with autonomy while mobilising cross functional expertise to deliver timely, high quality outcomes.
- ● If you thrive on building persuasive cases, solving intricate access challenges, and influencing the healthcare system, how will you apply your judgement and leadership to secure sustainable access for our medicines
- ● Accountabilities:
- ● HTA Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of NCPE HTA submissions, tailoring rapid review dossiers, Budget Impact Models, Cost-Effectiveness Models, and full HTA dossiers to Irish requirements; provide high-quality responses to technical assessor questions to accelerate assessment.
- ● Evidence and Methods: Ensure appropriate health economics, systematic literature reviews, and real-world evidence deliverables are in place; research prior appraisals to anticipate key considerations and strengthen our value proposition.
- ● Cross-Functional Orchestration: Manage inputs from the Ireland cross-functional team, external vendors, and global stakeholders to deliver clear, consistent, and aligned submissions and access strategies.
- ● Pricing and Negotiation: Support Irish pricing strategy for launch and in-line brands in line with global frameworks; represent AstraZeneca to a high standard in price negotiation meetings and secure outcomes that enable sustainable patient access.
- ● Access Strategy and Execution: Support and lead the delivery of strategic and operational market access plans for brands, including pricing and access strategy, aligned to therapy area and franchise priorities.
- ● Policy and Pathways Insight: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national access and funding pathways and evolving engagement rules; deliver annual Horizon Scan and Price Realignment for public and private payers to inform forward-looking planning.
- ● Therapy Area Expertise and Planning: Build strong brand and therapy area knowledge to provide effective support to Franchise teams; contribute to strategic and operational planning within cross-functional teams to turn strategy into delivery.
Requirements
- ● Scientific or Health Economics or related Bachelor's Degree
- ● Market access experience
- ● Ability to be able to develop cost-utility analysis and budget impact models
- ● Leadership and influencing skills
- ● Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information
- ● Demonstrable record of collaborative working, and personal delivery to agreed timelines
- ● Excellent understanding of the Irish Healthcare landscape
- ● Evidence of leading cross-functional project teams
- ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written skills
- ● Post Graduate qualification in Health Economics or related discipline
