Responsibilities

- ● You will assist with daily tasks, offer emotional support, and provide meaningful companionship. Your care will ensure clients feel safe, respected, and valued in the comfort of their own environment.
- ● With kindness and understanding, you will provide:
- ● Domestic Assistance - Supporting with household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting.
- ● Meal Preparation - Assisting with planning, preparing, and cooking meals. Personal Care Support - Helping with showering, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs.
- ● Social Engagement - Providing companionship and encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.
- ● Transport Services - Offering transport for appointments, shopping trips, and social outings.
Requirements
- ● You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people.
- ● You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.
- ● To thrive in this role, you will need:
- ● What's Required:
- ● Valid NSW Driver's Licence
- ● Reliable NSW C Class Motor Vehicle for travel between customer locations
- ● Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- ● COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (highly recommended)
- ● Basic computer and smartphone literacy
- ● What's Preferred:
- ● Previous experience in Home Care or Disability Support
- ● Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community). Highly preferred
- ● You will also have:
- ● Empathy - understanding and sharing the feelings of others
- ● Patience - staying calm and composed in challenging situations
- ● Communication - clear and respectful interaction with clients and families
- ● Reliability - being dependable and consistent in care delivery
