Responsibilities
- ● Linux System Administrator About The Business Area/Department :
- ● Amadeus Platform Foundation Services organization provides infrastructure and engineering support for the hosting and development of proprietary software used by the global travel industry.
- ● Summary of the role:
- ● You'll be part of the Database as a Service team, focusing on Linux system administration for operational excellence in high-availability environments. Your role will evolve to include database-specific operations and, potentially, automation support.
- ● In this role you'll:
- ● Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux systems (primarily RHEL) in virtualized and physical environments.
- ● Ensure system health and performance using orchestration and management tools.
- ● Manage virtual machine lifecycles in Azure and optionally Google Cloud Platform.
- ● Use shell/bash scripting for efficient and secure delivery of resources
- ● Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend maintenance.
- ● Maintain infrastructure documentation and contribute to operational knowledge bases.
- ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure and automation initiatives.
- ● About the ideal candidate:
- ● Fluent in English
- ● Advanced Linux System Administrator
- ● Strong operational experience
- ● Comfortable working independently and in a team
- ● Proactive mindset and solid troubleshooting skills.
- ● Deep understanding of Linux OS in virtual and physical platforms
- ● Proficient in Azure; familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
