Responsibilities

  • ● Lead end-to-end accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in compliance with local regulations and reporting standards.
  • ● Supervise and develop the Finance team by overseeing performance, KPIs, training, and business continuity while contributing to regional and global finance projects.
  • ● Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, internal controls, audits, and SAP finance processes to support efficient financial operations.
  • ● Prepare financial statements, statutory reports, budgets, and periodic financial analyses to support business performance and management decision-making.
  • ● Oversee tax compliance, reporting obligations, and relationships with relevant authorities while ensuring adherence to internal policies and external legal requirements.
  • ● Act as a trusted financial advisor to the Country Manager and provide guidance on financial strategy, risk management, and process improvements.
  • ● Ensure effective management of corporate and administrative matters, including contracts, insurance, and other compliance-related obligations.
  • ● Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting, accounting processes, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and governance.

Requirements

  • ● Certified Accountant with expertise in Finance, Accounting, Reporting, or Tax.
  • ● Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in finance or accounting.
  • ● Experience in accounting or finance roles within international or global organizations.
  • ● Strong analytical skills, reliability, and a high standard of professional ethics.
  • ● Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • ● Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office.
  • ● Experience with SAP; knowledge of the shipping industry is an advantage.
  • ● Fluent business-level English and Dutch.
  • ● Willingness to participate in regional and global finance projects.
