Responsibilities

  • ● Inspect, service, and repair water treatment plant components, including water intakes, pipelines, storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment, circulation pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, valves, and associated controls.
  • ● Support the maintenance and operation of filtration and chemical treatment processes.
  • ● Monitor plant performance and arrange servicing and major repairs in a timely manner.
  • ● Conduct water sampling and testing in accordance with operational requirements.
  • ● Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and maintenance records.
  • ● Carry out general maintenance duties and other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • ● NWP30222 Certificate III in Water Industry Operations is mandatory.
  • ● A current Open Manual C Class Driver's Licence is required.
  • ● A minimum of 2 years' experience operating a water treatment plant is necessary.
  • ● Experience with water sampling and testing techniques is required.
  • ● Knowledge of water and sanitation systems management is necessary.
  • ● Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • ● Current vaccination against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B is highly regarded.
  • ● Previous experience working in remote or industrial environments is highly regarded.
  • ● A strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and teamwork is highly regarded.
