Responsibilities
- ● Build strong, trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees through regular site visits, mentoring sessions and culturally safe "yarns."
- ● Provide individualised support, guidance and coaching to employees throughout their employment lifecycle.
- ● Assist employees with career development planning, goal setting and identifying pathways for growth and advancement.
- ● Connect employees with appropriate internal and external support services, including wellbeing, health and community resources.
- ● Collaborate with operational leaders, Human Resources, Learning & Development and other key stakeholders to deliver successful employment outcomes.
- ● Promote and support the delivery of Sodexo's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) initiatives.
- ● Foster meaningful and respectful engagement with Traditional Owners, Elders and community organisations to support employment, training and community development opportunities.
- ● Deliver cultural awareness and capability-building initiatives to employees and leaders across the business.
- ● Maintain accurate records, case notes and reporting requirements while ensuring confidentiality and professional boundaries are upheld.
Requirements
- ● A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and contemporary issues.
- ● Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, employment services, community engagement, social support or a similar people-focused role.
- ● The ability to establish trust, build meaningful relationships and provide culturally responsive support.
- ● Experience engaging with Traditional Owners, Elders and community stakeholders in a respectful and authentic manner.
- ● Demonstrated confidence presenting, facilitating discussions and engaging with diverse audiences, from small groups to large forums and community events.
- ● The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
- ● Sound administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- ● Experience designing, coordinating and delivering projects from concept through to implementation, including stakeholder engagement, reporting and measuring outcomes.
- ● A current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- ● A current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to remote operational sites as required.
