About the Role

It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • ● Provide our aged care clients with home help services such as general housekeeping and making beds
  • ● Clean, mop and vacuum floors
  • ● Wash, fold and iron laundry
  • ● Prepare meals and go grocery shopping
  • ● Provide our aged care clients with personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
  • ● Assist clients to take their medications
  • ● Assist with mobility and therapy goals
  • ● Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
  • ● Provide social and emotional support
  • ● Provide the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
  • ● Help the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things

Requirements

  • ● A valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • ● Your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
  • ● Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support (dependant)
