About the Role

It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for a person with a keen interest in Aged Care to join the Silverchain team in the Brisbane North area.

Responsibilities

  • ● Enjoy having variety in their day.
  • ● Are passionate about providing an excellent service.
  • ● Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • ● Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
  • ● Don't sweat the small stuff.
  • ● Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
  • ● Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
  • ● Provide our aged care clients with home help services such as general housekeeping and making beds.
  • ● Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
  • ● Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
  • ● Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

Requirements

  • ● A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
