About the Role
It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- ● Provide our aged care clients with home help services such as general housekeeping and making beds
- ● Clean, mop and vacuum floors
- ● Wash, fold and iron laundry
- ● Prepare meals and go grocery shopping
- ● Provide our aged care clients with personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
- ● Assist clients to take their medications
- ● Assist with mobility and therapy goals
- ● Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
- ● Provide social and emotional support
- ● Provide the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
- ● Help the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things
Requirements
- ● Have a valid Australian Driver's Licence
- ● Have your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
- ● Have a Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support
- ● Be willing to undergo a National Police check, Work Rights check and confirm COVID-19 vaccination status
