About the Role

It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role, to join the Silverchain team in the Sanctuary Point and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as general housekeeping and making beds
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as washing, folding and ironing laundry
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as meal preparation and grocery shopping
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as assisting clients to take their medications
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as providing social and emotional support
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
  • ● You will be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things

Requirements

  • ● You will need a valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
  • ● You will need experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
  • ● You will need to enjoy having variety in your day
  • ● You will need to be passionate about providing an excellent service
  • ● You will need to be able to build positive relationships with clients and their families
  • ● You will need to be able to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help
