About the Job

The position is for a Home Care Worker who will support aged clients in their homes with household tasks, personal care, and mobility assistance, helping them maintain independence and wellbeing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • ● Provide general housekeeping and bedmaking for aged care clients.
  • ● Clean, mop and vacuum floors.
  • ● Wash, fold and iron laundry.
  • ● Prepare meals and shop groceries.
  • ● Assist clients with getting out of bed, showering and dressing for the day.
  • ● Support clients with mobility and therapy goals.
  • ● Deliver complex care to customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
  • ● Offer social and emotional support to clients.

Requirements

Certifications

  • ● Valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Experience

  • ● Minimum of three months of experience in a similar home care role.

  • ● Own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
  • ● Ability to enjoy a varied daily routine.
  • ● Skill in building positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • ● Commitment to assisting older community members to live independently at home for longer.
  • ● Comfort working independently and solving everyday problems while knowing when to seek manager support.
  • ● Completion of a National Police check, Work Rights check, and confirmation of COVID 19 vaccination status (recommended).
