About the Role

It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for a person to join the Silverchain team in the Springwood area.

Responsibilities

  • ● Providing our aged care clients with home help services such as general housekeeping and making beds
  • ● Providing our aged care clients with home help services such as cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • ● Providing our aged care clients with home help services such as washing, folding and ironing laundry
  • ● Providing our aged care clients with home help services such as meal preparation and grocery shopping
  • ● Providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
  • ● Providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as assisting clients to take their medications
  • ● Providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • ● Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
  • ● Providing social and emotional support
  • ● Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
  • ● Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things

Requirements

  • ● You enjoy having variety in your day
  • ● You are passionate about providing an excellent service
  • ● You can build positive relationships with clients and their families
  • ● You don't sweat the small stuff
  • ● You are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help
  • ● You have a valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • ● You have your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
