Responsibilities
- ● Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, partnering with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Engineers, Architects, and QA specialists.
- ● Drive secure, scalable, cloud-native data solutions, influencing architectural decisions, and ensuring alignment with Experian standards, governance, and strategic objectives.
- ● Lead technical strategy, architecture, and engineering excellence across the data platform.
- ● Design and guide scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native data solutions.
- ● Ensure compliance with Experian security, governance, and data standards.
- ● Drive measurable improvements using engineering metrics, reliability indicators, and operational insights.
- ● Champion DevOps, CI/CD, observability, automation, and platform best practices.
- ● Mentor and coach engineers and technical leads, strengthening technical capability across teams.
- ● Partner with Engineering Managers to identify and address capability and performance gaps.
- ● Influence technical roadmaps and support modernization, transformation, and innovation initiatives.
- ● Promote cross-functional collaboration and act as a trusted technical advisor for stakeholders.
- ● Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, driving continuous improvement and best practices.
Requirements
- ● 14+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or related disciplines within enterprise environments.
- ● Proven experience leading architecture, technical strategy, and engineering transformation across multiple teams or domains.
- ● Demonstrated success mentoring senior engineers and technical leaders.
- ● Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures on AWS and/or Azure.
- ● Experience building large-scale data platforms, pipelines, and distributed systems.
- ● Hands-on knowledge of modern engineering technologies including Python, SQL, .NET Core, Node.js, and data processing frameworks.
- ● Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Glue, EMR, Redshift, and Kinesis, or Azure equivalents including Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.
- ● Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering.
- ● Experience using engineering metrics such as DORA, quality, and reliability metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- ● Strong knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, resilience, scalability, and compliance best practices.
