Responsibilities

  • ● Own the portable libraries problem space and define and build libraries that run across iOS, Android, and web
  • ● Work in system languages such as Rust and C++ to build production-grade libraries
  • ● Lead with code and stay hands-on, with no direct reports but influential individual contributor role
  • ● Communicate across the stack and convey technical ideas to frontend engineers who don't write Rust
  • ● Participate in technical debates and bring strong opinions, with a willingness to change your mind when better evidence shows up

Requirements

  • ● Experience building production mobile software on both iOS and Android
  • ● Deep understanding of the mobile platforms and ability to write libraries that feel native to engineers consuming them
  • ● Strong technical communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
  • ● Ability to work in system languages such as Rust and C++ and build production-grade libraries
