About the Role

As the Store Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the store, inspiring a high-performing team, and fostering a positive, customer-focused culture. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive sales and operational performance while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll play a key role in achieving business objectives and creating an environment where both team members and customers thrive.

Responsibilities

  • ● Champion a strong safety-first culture by promoting safe work practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, proactively identifying and reporting risks, and engaging your team in safety initiatives.
  • ● Drive profitable store performance through effective management of sales, budgets, margins, inventory, and rostering.
  • ● Utilise business reporting, scorecards, and workforce management tools to maximise results, control costs, and minimise loss.
  • ● Lead by example and bring the Autobarn values to life every day.
  • ● Inspire, motivate, and empower your team to achieve sales targets, deliver operational excellence, and provide outstanding customer service.
  • ● Ensure the consistent execution of retail processes, visual merchandising standards, promotional activity, and store presentation, creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for every customer.
  • ● Build and develop a passionate, capable team by recruiting for values, coaching performance, recognising success, and creating opportunities for growth.
  • ● Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages accountability, engagement, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • ● Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader
  • ● Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • ● A sales-driven mindset with the capability to deliver financial results and KPI's
  • ● Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • ● A values-led, collaborative, and adaptable approach, with the ability to lead change and build strong customer and retail relationships
