About the Role

The Delivery Excellence Manager reports to the Head of Transformation and owns delivery governance standards across TDD, setting clear expectations for how work is planned, executed, governed, and assured. Acting as a Centre of Excellence, this role is accountable for the quality, consistency, and audit-readiness of core delivery artefacts (including Tech Design, RAID, and Change Log) while establishing minimum standards, coaching teams, and building reusable frameworks to enable scalable delivery. The role drives uplift of delivery standards and leads a team of practice leads spanning delivery, business analysis, and capacity assurance.

Responsibilities

  • ● Own and set minimum delivery standards, templates, and ways of working (SAFe, Agile, PRINCE2) across all platforms, ensuring artefacts are complete, current, and audit-ready.
  • ● Lead, coach, and develop a team of practice leads across delivery, business analysis, and capacity assurance.
  • ● Drive delivery capability uplift through coaching, quality reviews of artefacts, and community of practice facilitation.
  • ● Identify systemic quality gaps, challenge non-compliance, and drive continuous improvement in delivery execution and artefact quality.

Requirements

  • ● Proven experience in delivery governance, operational delivery, or transformation roles, with a track record of lifting delivery maturity at an enterprise level (not purely project or team-level delivery).
  • ● Solid grounding in delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Agile, Scrum, and Wagile, with hands-on coaching experience-able to define and embed 'what good looks like'.
  • ● Experience contributing to or implementing operating models, with a strong understanding of how delivery, governance, and planning disciplines connect end-to-end.
  • ● Skilled in continuous/big room planning approaches and comfortable driving planning cadences across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • ● Demonstrated people leadership experience, managing and developing teams across delivery, business analysis, and assurance disciplines.
  • ● Strong stakeholder management skills, with credibility and confidence engaging senior technical and business leaders.
  • ● Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and uplift teams rather than e
