About the Role

We're looking for a casual Dental Assistant to support our dentists chairside. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team and build your career within an established practice. Working closely with our dentists, Practice Manager and front office team, you'll help deliver exceptional patient care and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. What your days look like: You'll provide chairside support across a range of general and restorative procedures while creating a positive experience for patients.

Responsibilities

  • ● Provide chairside assistance across general, restorative and preventive treatments
  • ● Assist with extractions and other surgical procedures
  • ● Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in line with infection control standards
  • ● Keep patients comfortable and informed, especially those who feel anxious
  • ● Maintain accurate clinical notes and charting in the practice management software
  • ● Help with stock control and ordering for your surgery

Requirements

  • ● Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher)
  • ● Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
  • ● A calm, reassuring manner with nervous patients
  • ● Clear and professional communication with patients and the team
  • ● A willingness to share your experience and support newer team members
