About the Role

Join 1300SMILES Roma as a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist and become part of a friendly local team supporting patients across both clinical and reception areas. This is a varied role where you'll have the opportunity to build your dental skills, work closely with the clinical team and get to know the patients who visit the practice. With a mix of general, preventative, children's and emergency dentistry, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of dental care while also developing your administration, reception and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • ● Providing chairside assistance during general and emergency dental procedures
  • ● Preparing treatment rooms and instruments ahead of appointments
  • ● Sterilising and maintaining instruments and equipment to infection control standards
  • ● Welcoming patients, managing the appointment book and answering the phone
  • ● Maintaining accurate patient records and processing accounts
  • ● Supporting the clinical team with administration and day to day practice tasks
  • ● Keeping reception and clinical areas clean, tidy and running smoothly

Requirements

  • ● Friendly, approachable and confident working with patients
  • ● Comfortable switching between clinical and reception duties
  • ● Reliable, organised and willing to help wherever needed
  • ● Calm and reassuring when supporting nervous patients
  • ● A clear and confident communicator
  • ● Previous dental assisting, dental reception or customer service experience is advantageous, but not essential
  • ● Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous, but not essential
