Responsibilities

• ● Ensure safety in plant operations during every shift by taking continuous rounds of the plant and preventing unsafe acts and unsafe conditions by employees and contractors.
• ● Conduct Toolbox Talks and participate actively to improve their effectiveness.
• ● Carry out plant inspections to identify unsafe acts and unsafe observations, and report them in the ETQ system.
• ● Ensure all non-routine and maintenance activities follow the Permit To Work system.
• ● Inspect tools and equipment as per the prescribed checklist and maintain related records.
• ● Drive and conduct On-the-Job Training for new workmen along with line engineers.
• ● Organise safety promotional campaigns to build safety awareness and motivation among workers.
• ● Report incidents and accidents occurring during the shift to the concerned authorities and participate in the initial incident investigation.
• ● Conduct localised mock drills during shift operations.
• ● Submit a monthly report covering all monthly deliverables.

Requirements

• ● Diploma in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or equivalent discipline.
• ● PDIS or ADIS from a recognised institute.
• ● Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety within any engineering industry or projects environment.
• ● Prior experience of imparting safety training to contract workmen is essential.
• ● Exposure to a manufacturing plant environment is preferred.
• ● Candidate must be 18 years of age or above, as per the applicable Labour Act.
• ● Technical skills in safety standards applicable to manufacturing plants, Electrical Safety, and LOTO.
