Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• ● Ø Create, update, and monitor detailed project timelines using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• ● Ø Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently across multiple projects.
• ● Ø Monitor actual progress against planned milestones and adjust schedules as needed.
• ● Ø Generate weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and delay analyses for internal and client review.
• ● Ø Liaise with project managers, site engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment across all phases.
• ● Ø Prepare tender and baseline schedules in line with project scope and contractual requirements.
• ● Ø Verify progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• ● Ø Identify risks, prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and propose mitigation strategies.
• ● Ø Attend meetings, present schedule updates, and address client concerns regarding timelines.
• ● Ø Conduct site visits to verify actual progress and collect data for schedule updates.
• ● Ø Maintain accurate records of planning documents, revisions, and approvals.
• ● Ø Authority to finalize and submit project schedules for client and internal approval.
• ● Ø Recommend and implement schedule changes due to scope variations or site conditions.
• ● Ø Provide official progress reports and delay notifications to clients and senior management.
• ● Ø Direct coordination efforts between planning, procurement, and execution teams to ensure schedule adherence.
• ● Ø Update and revise project schedules (within approved baseline).
• ● Ø Escalate major schedule changes to Project Manager/Senior Planning Engineer for

• ● Ø Recommend recovery actions for delayed activities.
