Responsibilities

  • Design and development, verification and validation of safety critical real time embedded software for avionics application conforming to DO 178 B/C standard for Avionics Helicopters
  • Software development activities including design and implementation of software modules
  • Spearhead the requirement engineering activity, gathering system requirements, analysing and documenting software requirements
  • Design and implementation of software configuration
  • Coordinate with stakeholders in resolving technical issues, including troubleshooting issues reported by system testing, simulator testing, flight test and in-service issues
  • Unit level verification of software module, integration testing, including software to software and software to hardware testing
  • Lead and mentor a team for design, development, testing and interface activities

Requirements

  • Experience in full software lifecycle encompassing software requirements definition, dynamic and static design, coding and verification activities in industrialised domains
  • Hands on experience with embedded software requirements engineering and architecture, including static and dynamic design
  • Experience with design and development, including module level design, interfaces and algorithm
  • Experience with embedded programming
  • Experience with unit and integration testing, including host and target environment
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and standards, including requirements, design and coding
  • Basic understanding of real time operating systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Work experience with DO 178 standard
  • Exposure to certification audits is desirable
  • Project management skills are desirable
  • Exposure to industry standard communication protocols, including A429 and RS422, is desirable
  • Knowledge of avionics systems and network is desirable
