About the Role

Analyze and develop solutions to client needs as a DB Developer within a team following the Agile development approach.

Responsibilities

  • ● Analyze and develop solutions to client needs as a DB Developer within a team following the Agile development approach.
  • ● Write and optimize complex queries, Performance Tuning, and other performance enhancement strategies.
  • ● Develop Packages, Functions, Procedures, etc.
  • ● Implement Triggers, Sequences, Synonyms, and Constraints.
  • ● Represent the team on all major technical upgrades and large technical efforts.
  • ● Manage efforts within the Agile team and outside Agile to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines.
  • ● Monitor database health, including tablespace utilization, undo/redo logs, archive logs, and alert log review.
  • ● Plan and coordinate database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN or equivalent tools.
  • ● Monitor locking, blocking, and deadlock issues, perform wait event analysis and AWR/ADDM report interpretation.

Requirements

  • ● Have hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex queries, Performance Tuning, and other performance enhancement strategies.
  • ● Have hands-on experience developing Packages, Functions, Procedures, etc.
  • ● Have hands-on experience implementing Triggers, Sequences, Synonyms, and Constraints.
  • ● Have hands-on production experience on Oracle 12c or later versions.
  • ● Have hands-on experience with external file processing using UTLFILE, SQLLoader, Database Directories, etc.
  • ● Have knowledge of database cloning, refreshes, and environment provisioning for Dev/Test/Prod pipelines.
  • ● Have understanding of database administration tasks including user management, role/privilege assignments, and schema management.
  • ● Have understanding of maintaining high availability solutions such as Oracle Data Guard, RAC, or equivalent failover mechanisms.
