VAT in 2024 and employs 5,000 staff members across 10 countries. JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Foundation - Infrastructure Development team. You will contribute across multiple projects depending on needs and priorities, including Gaio (our GenAI Orchestrator), VeepeeCloud (our zero vendor lock-in private cloud), and other internal infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

  • ● , and Product Owners. Our codebase spans Rust, Go, and Scala, you are expected to work across these languages as the project requires. You are expected to bring solid engineering judgment, operate confidently in high-pressure production environments, and leverage AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow.
  • ● Technical Environment:
  • ● Development, Operations and Maintenance of Gaio (GenAI Orchestrator):
  • ● LLM provider integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
  • ● Consumer API development and API call translation/routing
  • ● LLM consumption accounting and usage metering
  • ● Streaming response handling and protocol normalization
  • ● Development, Operations and Maintenance of VeepeeCloud services (depending on assignment):
  • ● Private cloud APIs (Compute, Storage, DNS, Certificates, NLBaaS, etc.)
  • ● Terraform provider for internal cloud resource consumption
  • ● Involvement in production operations:
  • ● Support participation and incident response
  • ● War room participation during critical production events
