About the Role

The primary objective of the Health Care Worker is to deliver safe, high-quality care that upholds the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident/participant in accordance with the Aged Care Act 2025. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the role provides person-centred, strengths-based support that is responsive to everyone's goals, preferences, and assessed needs. The Health Care Worker enables choice, promotes independence, and supports the wellbeing of residents/participants by partnering with them (and, where appropriate, their families and representatives) to ensure care is respectful, culturally appropriate, and aligned with what matters most to the individual-supporting them to live a meaningful life of their choosing

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Home and Community Care
  • Key Selection Criteria:
  • ; Experience in providing person-centred care, to frail aged people.
  • ; Ability to identify and problem solve, effectively.
  • ; Understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
