Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment across the factory, including plating line equipment, wastewater treatment systems, and general facility infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on, versatile worker willing to handle a wide range of tasks from basic repairs to equipment fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair factory equipment, including plating line machinery
  • Install equipment on the production line, e.g., heating rods, and connect components such as temperature controllers and liquid level sensors
  • Measure and check electrical parameters (e.g., rectifier DC output voltage and current)
  • Monitor and adjust electrical settings for plating baths as instructed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Maintain electrical panels, wiring, and motor control systems for plating lines
  • Maintain heaters and temperature control systems for plating baths
  • Maintain electrical components of the wastewater treatment (WWT) system, including dosing pumps, mixers, and pH control equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, blowers, and exhaust/ventilation systems
  • Maintain general factory electrical systems (lighting, power distribution)
  • Perform general facility maintenance and minor fabrication work
  • Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Basic foundational knowledge of electrical work (wiring, sensors, control systems)
  • Willing to perform varied, hands-on manual work - from small repairs to fabrication
  • Willing to learn, prior electroplating/manufacturing experience an advantage but not mandatory

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (overtime when required)
  • Overtime Pay: 1.5x Basic Salary
