About the Role

The Machine Operator will produce parts from materials using tools and drawings on a press brake, to make precision bends, punches and forms, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimum wastage, making adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the bend, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. Main Responsibilities Prepare and perform press brake setups and forming operations, including custom punch/die modifications and the use of standard and custom tooling. Program and operate press brake equipment using all available machine functions, including angle bending, step bending, back-gauge positioning, transfers, and dwell settings. Conduct tool changes and machine setups in accordance with work instructions, programs, and production requirements. Perform manual setups and adjust machine settings through the NC interface to achieve required product specifications. Work to routed cycle times and report any discrepancies, delays, or process issues with appropriate justification. Maximise machine productivity and support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by reducing setup time, minimizing downtime, maintaining machine availability, and ensuring efficient operation throughout the shift. Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report machine faults, tooling issues, or maintenance requirements to prevent unplanned downtime.
